Topics included the County budget, overdevelopment, illegal basement apartments, and the state of the NYC Department of Buildings. Additionally, BP Katz addressed an issue of major concern to the residents of Northeast Queens: Airplane Noise. She was joined in the discussion by City Council Member Paul Vallone, Greg Levine who represented Congresswoman Grace Meng and Janet McEneaney from Queens Quiet Skies. Attendees spoke of the ever increasing noise and pollution from our local airports created by the FAA’s NextGen technology.
