Sadly we must report another teardown. The new owner of 33-05 157th Street has been granted permission by the DOB to tear down the beautiful house that has been there for about 100 years.
This year has been the most destructive to the character of this charming neighborhood. WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION NOW! We need the Mayor, Landmarks Preservation Commission and City Planning to act soon or we will lose the very character that makes Broadway Flushing so special.
You have an opportunity to defend and protect this neighborhood. Come to a rally and stand with your community and Senator Avella. Saturday January 16th at 11am, in front of 33-05 157th Street. Bring signs telling the Mayor to save our neighborhood. We must have over 100 people at this rally, please spread the word.
