BFHA EXECUTIVE BOARD 2021-2022
We are pleased to welcome Erin Carrozzo to the BFHA Board. Martha Pirone has decided to retire from her position on the board and Erin has agreed to fill the vacant position. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Martha’s many years of service and dedication to the BFHA and the community, as a whole. We will miss her, but we are heartened to know that she will still be an active member of the BFHA.
May is a beautiful month in Broadway Flushing. The flowers and trees are in bloom and the lawns are lush and green. It has been a tradition for the BFHA to spotlight 10 homes in the neighborhood for maintaining a beautiful front garden. This year the BFHA presented each winner with a certificate and a garden flag. Thank you to Fran Varon for her hard work and dedication to the BFHA and the community. Thank you to all the homeowners that won this year, and to all of our neighbors who are also deserving of this distinction. There’s always next year….

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING UPDATE
Our General Membership Meeting that took place on Thursday, May 20 via Zoom was chockful of information, but the highlight of the evening was a “Meet & Greet” session with six of the candidates for City Council for District 19. If you missed the meeting, you can view it through the following link:

The Vic Vincent Group presents “A Musical History Tour of Rock & Roll Doo-Wop & Pop.” Hosted by The Bowne Park Civic Association & Broadway Flushing Homeowners’ Association and Sponsored by Councilman Paul Vallone at 2-4:00 PM on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Bowne Park – Please bring chairs or blankets. In the event of rain, the concert will be cancelled.
